Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee projects with a reputable civil contractor in Northern California. A background in paving is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee daily activities on highway, paving, and bridge construction sites, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a team of construction personnel and subcontractors, delegating tasks, offering guidance, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate work progress and quality through regular inspections to confirm compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Implement safety measures and best practices on-site to reduce accidents and maintain a secure working environment for all staff.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to synchronize activities, troubleshoot issues, and tackle challenges effectively.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of project progress, labor, and materials. Generate and submit periodic reports to upper management.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve construction-related challenges, delays, or conflicts efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Construction Supervisor with a solid background in highway, paving, and bridge projects.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Project Management) are advantageous.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment specific to highway, paving, and bridge work.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
