Position Overview: Paratransit Operations Manager

The Sonoma County Paratransit (SCPT) Department, operating under CVNL, is essential in delivering compassionate and sensitive services to vulnerable populations in Sonoma County. As the Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading a skilled team responsible for dispatching, bookings, routing, scheduling, and ensuring accessibility for all individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership in Operations:

Direct and manage the Paratransit administration department to ensure smooth operations.

Develop and implement effective systems to improve service quality and optimize resource allocation.

2. Analytical Skills:

Apply analytical expertise to address complex challenges in scheduling and routing.

Make informed, data-driven decisions to enhance the performance of the department.

3. Compliance with Regulations:

Stay informed about DOT regulations and ensure adherence to ADA standards.

Provide inclusive transportation services that comply with ADA requirements.

4. Commitment to Customer Service:

Maintain a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service to all paratransit riders.

Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to drive service quality improvements.

5. Staff Development:

Create and implement training programs for staff on customer service and regulatory compliance.

Encourage professionalism and enhance customer satisfaction among team members.

6. Performance Evaluation:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness.

Develop and implement strategies for improvement based on performance metrics.

7. Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure the safe operation of Paratransit vehicles under various conditions.

Engage in company-wide and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation Management, or a related field.

Demonstrated managerial experience in transportation, particularly in paratransit operations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proficiency in Excel.

Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and ADA compliance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks and adapt to different operational conditions.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with varied shifts to meet operational needs.

Remote work options may be available during non-peak hours.
