Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Other:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of practice.
BLS - Basic Life Support Certification.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Certification as required.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 12 years of relevant nursing experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Comprehensive understanding of nursing principles across various settings, including inpatient care, emergency services, surgical units, and outpatient care.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards, including those set by the Joint Commission, Department of Health Services, Title 22, CMA, and OSHA.
Familiarity with both administrative and clinical practices, with a focus on nursing standards and patient care.

Ability to navigate complex hospital and medical staff structures, along with fluency in medical terminology, including diagnostic and procedural language.

Knowledge of pharmacy protocols and procedures for medication management during off-hours.

Proven track record in managing physician relations, staff supervision, and operations within a multifaceted healthcare environment.

Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities are essential in this dynamic role.

Demonstrated capacity for diplomacy and collaboration with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Leadership and teamwork skills that foster a cooperative work environment.
