Position Overview: Paratransit Operations Manager

The Sonoma County Paratransit (SCPT) Department, operating under CVNL, is vital in delivering compassionate and sensitive services to vulnerable populations in Sonoma County. As the Operations Manager, you will guide a dedicated team responsible for dispatching, booking, routing, scheduling, and ensuring accessibility for all individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership in Operations:

Oversee the administration of the Paratransit department to ensure smooth operations.

Develop and implement effective systems to improve service quality and optimize resource use.

2. Analytical Skills:

Apply analytical abilities to address complex scheduling and routing challenges.

Make informed, data-driven decisions to boost departmental performance.

3. Compliance with Regulations:

Stay informed about DOT regulations and ensure adherence to ADA standards.

Deliver inclusive transportation services that comply with ADA requirements.

4. Commitment to Customer Service:

Maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional service to all paratransit riders.

Evaluate customer feedback to enhance service quality.

5. Staff Development:

Create training initiatives for staff regarding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Encourage professionalism and customer satisfaction within teams.

6. Performance Evaluation:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency.

Implement strategies for improvement based on performance data.

7. Additional Duties:

Ensure safe operation of Paratransit vehicles under various conditions.

Engage in company-wide and safety meetings.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation Management, or a related field.

Demonstrated managerial experience in transportation, particularly in paratransit operations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proficiency in Excel.

Comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations and ADA compliance.

Physical Requirements:

Capability to perform diverse physical tasks and adapt to different working conditions.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role with varied shifts to meet operational needs.

Remote work may be available during non-peak hours.
