We are currently seeking a Residential Caregiver for our Spring Manor location.

As a Residential Caregiver, you will collaborate with a team to deliver comprehensive residential support and facilitate the coordination of medical and rehabilitative services for adults residing in community-based supported housing programs.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position has one available shift:

  • Saturday-Sunday 8AM-6PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living in accordance with their service plans.
  • Coordinate resident needs, which may include assistance with medical appointments, external agency services, and therapy as required.
  • Accompany clients to appointments as necessary.
  • Supervise medication distribution visually as needed.
  • Maintain resident records in compliance with agency, county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide feedback to residents' primary care providers and/or case managers regarding resident progress and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate assigned group activities and specialized resident events.
  • Deliver immediate crisis intervention and resolution as required.
  • Conduct one-on-one resident interactions weekly, as outlined in individual service plans.
  • Assist with admission and discharge planning as necessary.
  • Review daily logs and documentation after each shift, communicating any emergencies to other staff members.
  • Maintain and update the administrator checklist of client treatment plans and review dates for administrative oversight.
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and community meetings as assigned.
  • Monitor the facility environment for visitors, television time, and quiet periods.
  • Prepare meals for residents when the cook is unavailable, following the menu.
  • Lead designated life skills groups.
  • Coordinate fire drills, resident orientations, chores, and room maintenance during resident transitions.
  • Document progress notes in client charts within a maximum of 7 days following each individual/group activity.
  • Commit to 12 hours of annual continuing education/training.
  • Uphold resident and staff confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand agency/member charts.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed to support clients, including holidays.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for agency vehicle use.
  • Experience in hands-on caregiving or the ability to obtain specialized training for the target population.
  • Fundamentals/Modified Fundamentals of Caregiving knowledge and willingness to pursue additional specialized training as required.
  • Ability to obtain a certificate from DSHS 75-hour training within 120 days of employment and complete other specialized training as mandated.
  • Capability to perform job duties as outlined with reasonable accommodations.
