We are currently seeking a Residential Caregiver to join our team.

As a Residential Caregiver, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver holistic residential treatment and coordinate various medical and rehabilitative services for adults residing in community-supported housing programs.

Work Schedule

We have one shift available for this position:

  • Saturday-Sunday, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM (20 hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living in accordance with their service plans
  • Coordinate resident needs, including assistance with medical appointments and therapy
  • Accompany clients to appointments as necessary
  • Supervise medication distribution as required
  • Maintain resident records in compliance with agency, county, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide feedback to residents' primary care providers and case managers regarding progress and treatment plans
  • Facilitate group activities and specialized events for residents
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention and resolution when needed
  • Conduct one-on-one interactions with residents weekly, as specified in individual service plans
  • Assist with admission and discharge planning as required
  • Review daily logs and documents after each shift, communicating any emergencies to staff
  • Update the administrator checklist of client treatment plans and review dates
  • Attend scheduled staff and community meetings as assigned
  • Monitor the facility environment for visitors and maintain quiet times
  • Prepare meals for residents when the cook is unavailable
  • Lead life skills groups as assigned
  • Coordinate fire drills, resident orientations, and room maintenance during move-ins and move-outs
  • Document progress notes in client charts within a week of each individual/group activity
  • Commit to 12 hours of annual continuing education/training
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Food Handlers Permit
  • Active CNA/HCA license
  • Legible handwriting
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and understand agency/member charts
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including holidays
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for agency vehicle use
  • Experience in hands-on caregiving or willingness to receive specialized training for the target population
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of caregiving and ability to pursue additional training as required
  • Capability to perform job duties with reasonable accommodation
