Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Sanitation Specialist to join our team at a newly established affordable housing community. In this role, you will be tasked with various housekeeping responsibilities to ensure the community remains clean and welcoming.

  • Promote a community atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life through exceptional customer service.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community residents.
  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas, amenities, restrooms, and model units according to a schedule set by the maintenance supervisor.
  • Regularly clean office spaces as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of elevator cabs, lobbies, and door tracks as per the established schedule.
  • Clear debris from outdoor areas daily when the Groundskeeper is unavailable, including trash, cigarette butts, pet waste, and other unsightly items.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public spaces and empty public trash receptacles.
  • Utilize the apartment cleaning checklist to prepare vacant units after move-outs.
  • If applicable, ensure the pool area is tidy and organized, including cleaning public restrooms and showers, and maintaining amenity spaces.
  • Replace used towels in the pool area with fresh ones on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any necessary repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications:

We seek a customer-oriented Sanitation Specialist who can effectively collaborate with the site team to fulfill the community's daily cleaning requirements while building rapport with residents.

  • Team-oriented individual who prioritizes collective success over individual recognition.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and determined.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Experience in janitorial services within hotel or residential settings is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, with a flexible schedule.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
