Job Overview

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking a dedicated Account Manager to oversee and enhance client satisfaction while ensuring adherence to our quality standards. This role involves cultivating and maintaining client relationships, recognizing opportunities for growth, and guaranteeing the effective delivery of our services.

We specialize in comprehensive industrial cleaning services for utilities, mining, chemical production, pulp & paper, and manufacturing sectors, focusing on hydro blasting and vacuum truck operations. Our offerings include customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, preventative maintenance, and complete turnaround services, along with various waste processing and handling services to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand business within existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Assess and understand each client's specific needs and challenges.
  • Manage accounts according to client guidelines and company policies.
  • Address customer complaints and inquiries, coordinating with operations for resolution.
  • Secure purchase orders for work outside contract scope.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and provide relevant information.
  • Maintain accurate client records and project documentation in the Global CRM system.
  • Conduct daily meetings with clients to review work schedules.
  • Develop supervisory staff to meet account management needs.
  • Foster a constructive and approachable atmosphere for colleagues and clients.
  • Report compliance issues to the appropriate Operations Manager.
  • Engage in project meetings and collaborate closely with Superintendents.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions to uphold performance quality.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial and environmental sectors.
  • Develop strategies to attract new clients and expand the client base.
  • Work with project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide clients with regular updates and maintain open communication.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Offer expert advice on industry-related matters to clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and quotations.
  • Negotiate terms to secure profitable agreements.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to resolve financial issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to the Director of Business Development.

Interactions:

  • Engages with COO, VP, Director of Project Management, Project Managers, and other key personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing and scheduling industrial services.
  • Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience in an industrial setting is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various environments.
  • Willingness to work in confined and elevated spaces under varying conditions.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Preferred: 8 years of hands-on experience with tools and heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
