Job Overview

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking a dedicated Account Manager to oversee and enhance the quality standards of our services while ensuring client satisfaction. This role is pivotal in cultivating and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business prospects, and guaranteeing the effective delivery of our offerings.

We specialize in comprehensive industrial cleaning services across various sectors, including utilities, mining, chemical processing, and manufacturing. Our expertise encompasses hydro blasting, vacuum truck operations, and customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, alongside waste processing and handling services that comply with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth within assigned accounts while exploring additional opportunities beyond existing contracts.
  • Establish and nurture robust, long-term relationships with current clients.
  • Assess and understand the distinct needs and challenges of each client.
  • Manage accounts in accordance with customer guidelines and company policies.
  • Address customer complaints and inquiries, coordinating with operations for resolution.
  • Secure purchase orders for any work outside the contract scope.
  • Participate actively in contract negotiations and provide relevant information.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current client records, project documentation, and reports in the Global CRM system.
  • Conduct daily meetings with clients to review work schedules and project statuses.
  • Develop supervisory staff to meet management requirements and ensure adequate support.
  • Exhibit a positive and constructive attitude towards colleagues and clients.
  • Report compliance issues to the appropriate Operations Manager.
  • Engage in project meetings and collaborate closely with Superintendents for staff updates.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial and environmental sectors.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to attract new clients and expand the client base.
  • Work with project management teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide clients with regular updates and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Offer expert advice on industry-related matters to clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and quotations.
  • Negotiate terms to secure profitable agreements.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to resolve any financial concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director of Business Development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing and scheduling personnel for maintenance and industrial services.
  • Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or plant environment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various environments.
  • Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces and under varying conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Preferred: 8 years of hands-on experience with tools and heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
