Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Engineer with extensive project management experience to enhance our Engineering, Construction, and Remediation Practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contaminant investigation and remediation, as well as wastewater treatment, with a minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit proficiency in technical writing, communication, data analysis, and application of scientific principles.
  • Lead and coordinate field investigations and remedial design projects across various environmental media.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive remedial investigation and response action plans.
  • Conduct performance assessments and design for industrial wastewater treatment systems.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
  • Engage with clients and collaborate with account leads to foster business growth.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure high standards of quality assurance and control through thorough technical reviews.
  • Balance multiple project assignments while managing time efficiently.
  • Stay informed about relevant standards, regulations, and guidelines in environmental due diligence and remediation.
  • Prioritize safety and maintain knowledge of industry health and safety practices.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite effectively in project tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, focusing on wastewater treatment and contaminant remediation.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with various soil and groundwater remediation techniques, particularly in situ and ex situ methods.
  • Familiarity with PFAS investigation and treatment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of feasibility studies, design, permitting, and construction related to environmental remediation.
  • Understanding of solid waste regulations, including RCRA and CCR rules, is advantageous.
  • Experience in vapor intrusion and indoor air quality investigations is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Michigan or other Midwest states is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and HAZWOPER certification are required.
