Key Responsibilities
  • Automation System Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy automation and robotic systems to support manufacturing processes, including fabrication, coating, assembly, and material handling.
  • Quality Inspection and Error Proofing: Develop automated and non-automated quality inspection and error proofing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing inspection and validation methods and equipment.
  • Project Planning and Communication: Develop detailed project plans and communicate requirements to key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Manufacturing Efficiency Improvement: Analyze and plan workflow space requirements and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead engineers or technicians as part of project execution strategy, depending on project scope.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other related engineering/technology-based field, with 5+ years of related experience in automation design, integration, and manufacturing systems.
  • Technical Skills: CNC, PLC, robotic programming, and SQL experience, with 2D and/or 3D CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD & SolidWorks).
  • Soft Skills: Strong project planning skills, ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners, and ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Working Conditions
  • This position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, and vibrations from a production-based environment.
