Position Overview
  • Location: Remote on the East Coast, with travel requirements up to 50%
  • Working Hours: Standard 8 AM - 5 PM, with flexibility needed for on-site project work
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000, plus performance bonuses
This role is pivotal in spearheading engineering initiatives across one of our four Supply Chain Regions. The selected candidate will oversee asset management, lead installation and replacement projects, and identify equipment opportunities that align with the operational goals of the designated Supply Chain Centers. Collaboration with regional leaders, site directors, maintenance teams, and corporate departments will be essential for successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • (60%) Engineering Leadership
    • Oversee large-scale engineering projects within the region
    • Assist in the design and installation of new facilities and production machinery
    • Develop and maintain project timelines, scope documents, financial forecasts, and meeting records
    • Prepare cost estimates and budget requirements
    • Establish vendor specifications and solicit quotations
    • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets
    • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to formulate project strategies and identify critical paths
    • Supervise on-site contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards
    • Support regional projects at Supply Chain Centers
  • (20%) Strategic Planning and Reporting
    • Create and implement a 5-year asset replacement strategy for the region
    • Assist in capital budget development and management
    • Conduct facility and equipment inspections to assess service, repair, or replacement needs
    • Support regional maintenance leaders with key performance indicators
  • (20%) Additional Support Activities
    • Conduct visits to Supply Chain Centers
    • Assist with regional Environmental Health and Safety and Quality initiatives
    • Support regional Continuous Improvement initiatives as required
    • Foster relationships with regional vendors in collaboration with the Procurement team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Refrigeration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles
  • Project Management experience is essential
  • Experience managing contractors and vendors
  • Knowledge of maintenance, refrigeration systems, and facilities is advantageous
  • Strong ability to manage personal workload
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with engineering principles; certifications are a plus
  • Experience with process and production layouts, as well as capital improvement projects, is highly desirable
  • Understanding of state and local engineering regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software tools
  • Ability to make independent decisions with minimal oversight
  • Capability to quickly evaluate new technologies and their applications
  • Ability to manage multiple complex issues simultaneously
  • Skills in influencing others, building consensus, leading meetings, and resolving conflicts
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

Software Proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Project)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is a plus
