Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer with strong project management capabilities to enhance our Engineering, Construction, and Remediation Practice. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in contaminant assessment and remediation, as well as wastewater treatment design and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit proficiency in communication, data analysis, and scientific principles.
  • Lead field investigations and remedial design initiatives across various environmental media.
  • Develop and oversee remedial investigation and response action plans.
  • Conduct performance assessments of industrial wastewater treatment systems.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
  • Engage with clients to foster business growth and secure new opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Ensure high standards of quality assurance and control throughout project execution.
  • Balance multiple project assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to industry health and safety practices.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; a Master's degree is highly desirable.
  • At least 8 years of relevant consulting or professional experience focused on wastewater treatment and contaminant remediation.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Solid technical and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with various soil and groundwater remediation techniques, particularly regarding PFAS.
  • Familiarity with feasibility studies, cost assessments, and regulatory compliance related to environmental projects.
  • Knowledge of solid waste management regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience in vapor intrusion and indoor air quality assessments is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Michigan or the ability to obtain licensure is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and HAZWOPER certification are required.
