Environmental Project Manager
Position Overview: Our organization is in search of a proactive Environmental Project Manager with over 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or a related scientific field. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of project management principles and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, technically precise, timely, and budget-conscious project assignments. This role is classified as mid-level to Senior Project Management based on the candidate's qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Environmental Project Manager will supervise fieldwork related to Michigan Part 213, which includes the collection of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air samples.
- Exhibit proficiency in preparing Part 213 UST/LUST Initial Assessment Reports (IARs), Final Assessment Reports (FARs), and Closure Reports.
- Experience in conducting Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Baseline Environmental Assessments (BEA), and Due Diligence Compliance Checks (DDCC)/Risk Assessment Protocols (ResAP).
- Engage with regulatory bodies such as EGLE and EPA, as well as local agencies.
- Oversee client and project communications, scheduling, budget management, change orders, and management reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of proposal scopes and project cost estimates.
- Draft and review necessary technical documentation.
- Conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and wastewater; prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Supervise and document field operations and activities, maintaining communication with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Possess a keen attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Perform various tasks to fulfill project requirements with a positive and proactive approach.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in executing Michigan Part 213 fieldwork, including sample collection techniques for soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air.
- Proven ability to complete Part 213 UST/LUST Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, and Closure Reports.
- Experience with Phase II ESA, BEA, and DDCC/ResAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical tasks regularly.
