Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy plays a pivotal role as a contributor and authority in the social media domain, supporting all Publicis Media agencies. This position demands a demonstrated capability to apply strategic insights and develop tactical best practices. A comprehensive understanding of all major social media platforms is essential, along with the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. We seek an individual who thrives on problem-solving, collaborates effectively across agency teams, and possesses a strong point of view, enabling them to proactively identify needs and devise solutions.

This role is distinctive as it fosters best practices, thought leadership, and innovation across all agencies. Rather than focusing on a single client, our efforts influence all clients. The Senior Manager is instrumental in shaping our strategic direction, team priorities, and producing content that directly impacts all clients within the United States. Individuals who are self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity tend to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop paid social activation content, including points of view, playbooks, training materials, and educational resources.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the paid social landscape to achieve business objectives.
  • Curate innovative solutions, including activation support, collateral development, and testing frameworks.
  • Identify and document frequently asked questions, automating responses to common inquiries from agency teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of custom content based on specific requests from agency teams or in response to market changes.
  • Build strong relationships with Publicis Media agency counterparts and social channel leaders.
  • Oversee daily priorities for a team of high-performing social activation specialists.
  • Execute strategic roadmaps and develop thought leadership materials for social strategy and activation.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to collaborate on solution priorities.
  • Participate in account planning and coordinate with key subject matter experts across agencies to enhance client service.
  • Identify clients suitable for priority solutions and assist in guiding them towards best-in-class outcomes.
  • Contribute to assessments and provide guidance to agency teams on recommendations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advise on the use of emerging platforms and technologies based on agency, industry, and client priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in paid social media, with a focus on activation.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Extensive knowledge and prior experience in paid social media strategy and activation.
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Confidence and composure, with polished presentation skills for effective meeting leadership.
  • Passionate about working in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid understanding of major social platform algorithms, ad products, optimization strategies, and broader industry developments.
  • Significant experience in campaign management and optimization across platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit.
  • Advanced knowledge of third-party measurement capabilities and limitations in the social media landscape.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects across multiple teams and functions.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
  • Advanced content development skills, particularly in PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently.
  • Team-oriented, approachable, and recognized as a coach and mentor to others.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, vlookups, and basic formulas; knowledge of macros and Visual Basic is a plus. Comfortable working with large datasets, analyzing reports, and identifying trends.
