Position Overview
The Social Media Strategy Manager is integral to Weil's global social media operations, overseeing strategy formulation, protocol establishment, and scheduling; ensuring top-tier quality and execution; and collaborating with senior leadership and colleagues to enhance overall messaging and success. The social media function encompasses support for firmwide communications, press announcements, business achievements, accolades, thought leadership, and cultural initiatives, alongside other vital business areas such as: Alumni Relations, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Pro Bono efforts, Professional Development, Recruitment, Social Responsibility, and Wellness.

In close partnership with the Senior Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations, the Social Media Strategy Manager also plays a key role in managing website content governance, alumni communications, global internal publications, and video content initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage expertise in corporate social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and emerging digital channels, focusing on daily content, advertising options, social listening, and follower engagement.
  • Offer customized social media guidance to individual partners and senior business professionals, as well as conduct group training sessions upon request, focusing on best practices for social media engagement and personal brand development.
  • Oversee social media performance analytics.
  • Provide long-form writing, interviewing, content management, and project oversight for the global internal publication.
  • Assist in the monthly production of Weil's global Alumni Newsletter, including scripting and editorial review of video materials.
  • Coordinate content distribution across Weil platforms, ensuring technical functionality, site organization, and adherence to approval processes.
  • Manage various content governance audits in a timely manner.
  • Lead selected marketing initiatives across the Marketing, Alumni, and Digital Programs teams.
  • Supervise the Content Strategy Specialist.
  • Handle vendor management as necessary.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in social media and digital marketing, preferably within professional services. Video production experience is a plus.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills, characterized by a pragmatic and proactive approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proven track record in corporate communications.
  • Ability to work independently, particularly in forecasting and achieving future objectives.
  • Strong internal networking and influence capabilities.
  • A collaborative leader, capable of engaging with a diverse range of legal and business professionals across international offices, as well as strategic and operational teams.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced business and corporate communications setting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand and distill complex legal and financial documents.
  • This position requires regular on-site presence.
  • Availability for off-hours work is expected.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution in a relevant field.
Compensation is competitive and includes a base salary along with a discretionary year-end bonus for eligible employees.
