Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy serves as a pivotal contributor and authority in the social media domain, supporting all Publicis Media agencies. This position demands a demonstrated ability to apply strategic insights and develop tactical best practices. A comprehensive understanding of major social media platform functionalities is essential, along with the capacity to convey intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This role is distinctive as it fosters best practices, thought leadership, and innovation across all agencies. Rather than focusing on a single client, our initiatives influence all clients. The Senior Manager will help shape our strategic direction, team priorities, and produce content that directly impacts all clients within the U.S. Successful candidates are self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and comfortable navigating ambiguous situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the creation of paid social activation materials, including points of view, playbooks, training resources, and educational content.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the paid social landscape to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop innovative, first-to-market solutions, encompassing activation support, collateral creation, and testing frameworks.
  • Identify and document frequently asked questions, automating responses to common inquiries from agency teams.
  • Assist in the development of tailored content based on specific requests from agency teams or in response to market dynamics.
  • Establish relationships with Publicis Media agency counterparts and social channel leaders.
  • Oversee daily priorities for a team of high-performing social activation specialists.
  • Implement strategic roadmaps and generate thought leadership materials for social strategy and activation.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to collaborate on priority solutions.
  • Contribute to account planning and coordinate with key subject matter experts across agencies to enhance client service.
  • Identify clients suitable for priority solutions and facilitate their transition to best-in-class practices.
  • Participate in assessments and guide agency teams on strategic recommendations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and provide insights on emerging platforms and technologies aligned with agency, industry, and client priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in paid social media, particularly in activation.
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in paid social media strategy and activation.
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Confident, composed, and polished presentation abilities for effective meeting leadership.
  • Passionate about thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of major social platform algorithms, advertising products, optimization strategies, and broader industry trends.
  • Significant experience in campaign management and optimization across platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit.
  • Advanced knowledge of third-party measurement capabilities and limitations in the social media landscape.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage projects across multiple teams and functions.
  • Adept at articulating complex concepts clearly.
  • Advanced content development skills, particularly in PowerPoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work consistently.
  • Team-oriented, approachable, and recognized as a coach and mentor.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, vlookups, and basic formulas; knowledge of macros and Visual Basic is a plus. Comfortable working with large datasets, analyzing reports, and identifying trends.
