Position Overview


The Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy serves as a vital contributor and authority in the social media domain, supporting all Publicis Groupe agencies.

This position demands a demonstrated capability to apply strategic insights and develop effective tactical practices.

A comprehensive understanding of major social media platforms is essential, along with the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

We seek an individual who enjoys overcoming challenges, collaborating across agency teams, and possesses a strong point of view with the ability to proactively identify needs and create solutions.

This role is distinctive as it promotes best practices, thought leadership, and innovation across all agencies. Rather than focusing on a single client, our initiatives impact all clients.

The Senior Manager will help shape our strategic direction, team priorities, and lead initiatives that directly affect all clients within the organization.

Individuals who are self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity tend to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:


• Contribute to the creation of paid social activation materials, including perspectives, playbooks, training modules, and educational content.

• Possess a deep understanding of the paid social landscape to achieve business objectives.

• Develop innovative solutions, including activation support, resource development, and testing frameworks.

• Identify and document frequently asked questions, automating responses to common inquiries from agency teams.

• Assist in creating tailored content based on specific requests from agency teams or in response to relevant market shifts.

• Foster relationships with Publicis Groupe agency counterparts and social channel leaders.

• Oversee daily priorities for a team of high-performing social activation specialists.

• Implement strategic roadmaps and develop thought leadership materials for social strategy and activation.

• Build cross-functional relationships to collaborate on solution priorities.

• Participate in account planning and coordinate with key subject matter experts across agencies to enhance client service across Publicis Groupe.

• Identify clients suitable for priority solutions and assist in guiding them towards optimal outcomes.

• Contribute to evaluations and advise agency teams on recommendations.

• Stay informed about industry trends and provide guidance on emerging platforms and technologies based on agency, industry, and client priorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in paid social media, particularly in activation.

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in paid social media strategy and activation.

• Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.

• Confident, composed, and polished presentation skills to effectively lead meetings.

• Passionate about thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong understanding of major social platform algorithms, advertising products, optimization strategies, and broader industry developments.

• Significant experience in campaign management and optimization across platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit.

• Advanced knowledge of third-party measurement capabilities and limitations in the social media landscape.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects across multiple teams and functions.

• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

• Advanced content development skills with extensive experience in PowerPoint.

• Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail on all projects.

• Team-oriented, approachable, and regarded as a coach and mentor to others.

• (+) Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, vlookups, and basic formulas; knowledge of macros and Visual Basic is a plus. Comfortable working with large datasets, analyzing reports, and identifying trends.
