Position Overview:
As a Control Systems Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing control systems and machinery within our Transmission Assembly and Machining departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement enhancements to control systems utilizing Factory Information Systems (FIS) data.
- Lead initiatives to troubleshoot and resolve equipment performance challenges.
- Facilitate training sessions for manufacturing staff and plant electricians.
- Support the integration of control systems with IT frameworks, including FIS, Error Proofing, QWX, and QTS.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to machinery, robotics, automation, and control systems.
- Utilize FIS plant monitoring software to analyze equipment cycle times.
- Oversee and coordinate project installations.
- Reprogram machinery to accommodate engineering modifications and improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive backups of automation programs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Controls Engineering within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in PLC logic and control systems, with hands-on experience in Siemens and Modicon programming.
- Strong interest in controls engineering, demonstrating a quick learning ability and application of controls knowledge.
- Direct experience with assembly and machining control architectures (hardware/software).
- Familiarity with programming principles for Siemens, Schneider, and Bosch PLCs, as well as CNC/Motion control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to PLCs, CNCs, robotics, and other automation technologies.
- Knowledge of cell machining systems and integration of CNC controls, gantries, and auxiliary equipment is advantageous.
- Understanding of assembly and machining RFID systems, including complexity management and QOS strategies.
- Awareness of international electrical and safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC, etc.) and familiarity with safety processes (risk assessments, PSS, integrated safety, etc.).
- Proficient in reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control schematics.
- Understanding of communication network architectures and field bus protocols.

Collaboration:
Experience in collaborating with senior management, process engineering, safety, IT, and production teams is essential. A strong manufacturing background with a focus on production-related controls is required. Flexibility to work off-shift or in a 4-crew environment is expected.

Education:
- Associate's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering preferred.
