About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Grant Programs and Operations to join our team at Two Ten Foundation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in fulfilling our mission to support the wellbeing of footwear employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Grant Programs and Operations will be responsible for the following:

  • Grants Administration
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive grant program guidelines and procedures to ensure maximum impact.
    • Oversee the grant administration process, from initial application to disbursement, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all applicants, grant recipients, funding allocations, and payments.
    • Manage all communications with applicants and grantees, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Database and System Administration
    • Oversee the functionality and optimization of our grants management system, ensuring seamless integration and efficient processing.
    • Implement improvements to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
    • Provide training and support to staff members on the grant management system, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Create grant reports and dashboards for varied stakeholders as needed, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Fundraising and Finance Support
    • Support the development and marketing teams with grant program information, grantee data, and testimonials, helping to secure funding and resources for our programs.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to build a grant program budget, administer echecks, and reconcile payments, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
    • Manage grant program vendor relationships, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Team Support
    • Serve as the senior point of contact for grant inquiries and administrative matters, providing exceptional customer service and support.
    • Coordinate meetings, schedule calls, and provide logistical support for team activities, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
    • Effectively recruit, manage, and motivate the grant program team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
    • Establish team goals and priorities that align with organizational goals, ensuring everyone is working towards a common objective.
    • Promote a culture of learning and development, providing opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Promote the Foundation's broader vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Actively participate in establishing organizational goals and work plans, contributing to the development of strategic initiatives.
    • Assist in creating materials for Board member requests and Board meetings, providing critical support to the Board and senior leadership.
    • Support and lead a team, including the Grant Administrator and Grant Manager, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful program implementation.
    Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7 years of experience in grants administration and management at a charitable foundation or other type of grant-making organization.
  • A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience leading and managing a team, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with small grant programs, with a strong understanding of best practices in grantmaking.
  • Experience overseeing grants management databases, including assessing issues, making fixes, and upgrades as a system administrator.
  • Prior experience managing staff, with proven leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management, process improvement, and change management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams for virtual meetings.
