Reports to: Director of Community Programs

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Compensation: $27.35 - $33.17 per hour, based on experience

Primary Responsibilities

The Community Programs Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the Community Programs for Social Justice (CPSJ) Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Program. This position is essential in fostering a collaborative environment that promotes program and staff success, encourages teamwork, and identifies areas for improvement.

The Manager will oversee a team of up to ten staff members, including Housing Specialists, Retention Workers, Peer Supports, and Coordinators. Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and support.
  • Facilitating team meetings and case conferencing sessions.
  • Coordinating Rent Well classes for participants.
  • Ensuring services are delivered in a welcoming, trauma-informed, and culturally competent manner.
  • Managing relationships with funders and community partners.
  • Collaborating on the annual budgeting process and overseeing budget management throughout the fiscal year.
  • Assisting in grant applications and reporting.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of housing services for individuals experiencing homelessness, social and economic issues related to poverty, and best practices in equity and trauma-informed care.

  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage a diverse team.
  • Experience in managing budgets and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capacity to handle participant grievances and sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and reports.
