The Opportunity


Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking an Event Coordination Manager to become a vital part of our team at the Holiday Inn - Estes Park.

In this role, you will oversee contracted group engagements, including conferences, corporate gatherings, and weddings, aimed at enhancing catering revenue and ensuring operational excellence through meticulous planning and site assessments.


Delivering exceptional experiences for our guests is a significant responsibility; we are looking for someone who can rise to the occasion.


Key Responsibilities
  • Advance planning and organization of conferences, weddings, and events in collaboration with meeting planners.
  • Engage with clients through various communication channels to ensure events align with their expectations.
  • Facilitate pre-event meetings as needed and introduce group contacts upon arrival.
  • Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders and other essential documentation promptly for contractual execution and internal operations.
  • Coordinate with operational departments to ensure precise execution of catering and event agendas in line with Delaware North standards.
  • Promote additional menu and beverage options to enhance catering revenue.
  • Anticipate client needs and respond in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Become knowledgeable about Holiday Inn Estes Park accommodations, menus, and services.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in catering and event coordination is required.
  • Previous experience in a hotel of similar size and capacity is preferred.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrates a keen attention to detail and a high level of concentration.
  • Familiarity with Delphi catering software is preferred.
  • Experience with Opera property management software is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
