Healthcare Operations Coordinator Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Healthcare Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in managing daily administrative tasks and providing essential support as required. This position collaborates closely with the Administrator to facilitate smooth operational processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the Vision software system to ensure data accuracy
  • Generate a variety of reports utilizing Vision
  • Assist in managing invoices and payment processes
  • Collect payments and confirm insurance details
  • Handle bank deposits and maintain patient financial records
  • Act as the main point of contact for billing-related inquiries
  • Support payroll functions and insurance precertification processes
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records and census data
  • Address financial eligibility issues and manage Medicaid billing
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of patient and employee information
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles is essential
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • A high school diploma is mandatory; further education is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare

  • Take proactive measures to prevent unsafe practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Typical office setting with occasional flexibility and travel requirements
