Clerical Assistant

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant to join our team at The Hartford. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal assistants, including communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage electronic files, maintain office equipment, and perform various tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with overflow work, including scanning, case matching, mail handling, and photocopying.
  • Calendaring of court appearances and related events, and ensure accurate use of form letters and templates.
  • Schedule depositions with necessary parties.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Effective time management skills, independent judgment, and ability to work in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated efficiency, productivity, and attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of Workers Compensation legal terminology is a plus.
  • Prior calendar management experience is required.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines, set priorities, and deal effectively with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy in written and verbal communication.
Compensation:

The annualized base pay range for this role is $32,000 - $48,000. The Hartford offers a comprehensive total compensation package, including short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
