Job Summary

The HR Coordinator will oversee the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR function, ensuring seamless employee experiences and efficient HR processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the day-to-day operation of the HR department, providing administrative support and contributing to the development of HR policies and programs.
  2. Maintain confidential employee files and the HR filing system, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  3. Provide benefits administration support, including processing status changes, invoice reconciliation, and communicating benefits information to employees.
  4. Coordinate and administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, Workers' Compensation, STD, and LTD, in accordance with AdelFi policy and applicable laws.
  5. Recruit and onboard new employees, posting job advertisements, conducting background searches, and auditing background screening invoices.
  6. Assist employees and management with the interpretation and application of AdelFi policies, procedures, programs, and practices, exercising confidentiality and professionalism.
  7. Enter, maintain, and update HR information in the HRIS system, including new hire information, benefit enrollment, and changes.
  8. Review benefit and other invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies with carriers, payroll, and employees.
  9. Maintain a general knowledge of industry and related legal issues, ensuring AdelFi's compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  10. Identify and report unusual and suspicious activity under the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering Act and comply with OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act and the Customer Identification Program.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in the human resource function.
  • Work is primarily conducted remotely from home or approved worksites, with occasional meetings onsite and travel requirements.
  • Must maintain awareness of and comply with all relevant policies, regulatory compliance, and assigned training requirements specific to the duties of this position.
