Position Overview

The Academic Personnel Analyst plays a critical role in shaping and implementing policies related to academic faculty recruitment, appointments, promotions, and compensation. This position involves:

  • Academic Personnel Management:
    Overseeing all academic personnel matters, including faculty advancement, salary adjustments, and recruitment processes. The analyst will analyze faculty cases and prepare recommendation letters, ensuring adherence to university policies and principles.
  • Faculty Recruitment Oversight:
    Managing the recruitment process for faculty positions, including developing strategies for outreach to underrepresented groups. The analyst will provide guidance to search committees and make recommendations regarding candidate negotiations.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Contributing to the strategic direction of the department by assisting in the formulation of academic personnel plans. The analyst will monitor compliance with hiring policies and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Academic Personnel Liaison:
    Acting as a liaison with various campus departments to resolve complex personnel issues and advising on retention strategies for faculty members.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of academic personnel policies and procedures, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The University offers a comprehensive benefits package. The expected salary range for this position is $98,600 - $141,500, depending on qualifications and experience.
