The Academic Personnel Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing policies related to academic faculty recruitment, appointments, promotions, compensation, and faculty welfare programs. This position supports division leadership and specializes in academic personnel policy, ensuring compliance with university regulations and collective bargaining agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Personnel Management:
- Oversee all academic personnel matters related to faculty advancement, salary adjustments, and recruitment, focusing on fairness and equity.
- Analyze faculty appointment and promotion cases, preparing comprehensive recommendation letters and resolving potential issues proactively.
- Provide guidance on employment-related matters and ensure faculty are informed of policy changes affecting their benefits and rights.
- Advise on complex faculty appointments and startup packages, ensuring alignment with university policies.
- Maintain historical records for faculty memorials and coordinate payroll actions for multi-location appointments.Faculty Recruitment Oversight:
- Manage faculty recruitment processes, developing strategies that enhance outreach to underrepresented groups.
- Collaborate with diversity officers to implement effective recruitment practices and provide policy guidance to search committees.
- Make recommendations regarding rank and salary for new faculty appointments, ensuring equity across the department.Strategic Planning and Analysis:
- Assist in formulating long-term plans for academic personnel needs and recommend changes based on new directives.
- Develop rationales for faculty requests and analyze data to improve administrative practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal and campus hiring policies while providing strategic advice to leadership.Academic Personnel Liaison:
- Serve as the liaison with various university departments to resolve complex personnel issues and ensure compliance with policies.
- Identify faculty needs and propose solutions, engaging with leadership for exceptional approvals when necessary.
- Consult with compliance offices and provide guidance to assist faculty in navigating personnel requests.
Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of academic personnel policies and procedures is essential, along with strong analytical and communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in complex situations is crucial.

Compensation:
For information on the comprehensive benefits package offered, please refer to the university's Compensation & Benefits resources. The expected salary range for this position is $98,600 - $141,500, determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
