Job Summary

This position will provide comprehensive executive administrative, analytical, and academic support to the faculty of the Division of Pediatric Surgery and requires a high level of independence and autonomy. The incumbent will manage a range of responsibilities associated with the administrative, research, and clinical roles. This position will support the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco as well as work closely with the assistant to the Chief of Pediatric Surgery to ensure all faculty receive academic and research support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive administrative support to the faculty, including managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing complex documents.
  • Assist with research projects, including data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Provide analytical support, including data analysis and interpretation.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide general executive administrative and analytical assistance to other faculty members as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to communicate technical information and prepare complex documents with minimal assistance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated excellent reliability and attendance.
  • Experience planning large meetings and conferences.
