Position Overview:

The Senior Academic Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all financial, human resources, and operational functions for small to mid-sized academic or research initiatives. This role involves managing significant program components and fulfilling various operational requirements. The coordinator will also be tasked with organizing conferences and public forums, working closely with the Principal Investigator or senior Academic Program Officers to define the center's agenda, funding, and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Neuro-Oncology supportive care services for the patient demographic.
  • Collaborate with the Neuro-Oncology Service and Caregiver Program managers to effectively manage and administer the operations of the Neuro-Oncology Supportive Care Services and Community Expansion Program.
  • Engage in both short- and long-term organizational planning.
  • Conduct analytical studies and projects, identifying service gaps and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop innovative programming tailored to the needs of the community clinic population.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is $84,400 - $133,800 (Annual Rate). Placement within this range will depend on various factors, including work experience and internal equity.

The UCSF Neuro-Oncology service is recognized globally for its treatment of brain tumors throughout the disease continuum. The program offers a range of supportive care and complementary services, including caregiver support and survivorship programming, aimed at assisting patients and their families during their treatment journey.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with various groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative, budgetary, and financial principles.
  • Background in Neuro and/or Oncology research.
  • Experience in fundraising activities.
