Role Summary:
The selected candidate will oversee the sales operations within the Southeast territory, focusing on the technical sales of the Akoya PhenoCycler and PhenoImager product lines. This role is pivotal in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth across all product categories. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and thrive in a dynamic field sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the designated sales territory effectively.
  • Present Akoya's complete range of solutions, including instruments, reagents, and contract services.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales objectives for the territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans tailored to the territory's needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding sales activities through forecast reviews and reporting tools.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Support inventory management for equipment.
  • Coordinate and conduct equipment demonstrations.
  • Follow up post-demonstration to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for achieving sales targets related to reagents and contract services.
  • Generate and manage customer quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and conditions in line with company policies.
  • Identify and communicate revenue recognition opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Application Scientists and local service teams to enhance customer support throughout the product adoption process.
  • Engage in continuous learning about Akoya's product portfolio and its scientific applications.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related Life Science field; advanced degrees (PhD or MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the scientific or life sciences sector; over 5 years preferred.
  • Experience in high-value technical capital equipment sales, particularly in immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, or microscopy/imaging.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of cellular, IHC, and pathology applications.
  • Proven track record of selling to Pathology and Life Science/Research Laboratories, Cancer Research Centers, and Academic Institutions.
  • Sales experience with reagents and contract services is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ethical sales practices.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proactive approach with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50-75% overnight travel).
  • Valid driver's license required.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and will consider various factors, including geographic location and relevant experience. In addition to base pay, our compensation package includes performance-based bonuses and long-term incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
