Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will oversee the Southeast territory, focusing on the technical sales of the Akoya PhenoCycler and PhenoImager product lines. This role requires a proactive and driven individual who excels in a dynamic field sales environment and is committed to achieving sales targets across all product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the designated sales territory effectively.
  • Present and promote Akoya's comprehensive solutions, including instruments, reagents, and service contracts.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives for the territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans tailored to the territory's needs.
  • Regularly communicate and report on sales activities and forecasts to management.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory.
  • Coordinate and conduct equipment demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Ensure effective follow-up post-demonstration to secure sales.
  • Collaborate with sales counterparts to maximize customer support and revenue generation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and address their needs promptly.
  • Work closely with Field Application Scientists and local service teams to enhance customer satisfaction throughout the product adoption process.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge of Akoya's entire product portfolio and its applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related Life Science field; advanced degrees (PhD or MBA) are preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the scientific or life sciences sector, with over 5 years being advantageous.
  • Experience in high-value technical capital equipment sales, particularly in immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, or microscopy/imaging.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of cellular, IHC, and pathology applications and imaging technologies.
  • Proven track record of selling to Pathology and Life Science/Research Laboratories, Academic Institutions, and Biotech companies.
  • Sales experience with reagents and contract services is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50-75% overnight travel) is essential.
  • Valid driver's license required.
