Overview

We are seeking a Vice President for Lending Strategy to join our Strategic Analytics team, focusing on our Lending operations.

Our team integrates proficiency in quantitative analysis, modeling, pricing, and risk management with a profound understanding of system architecture and programming. Our main deliverable is a robust and adaptable Front Office pricing and risk management system that maintains a consistent interface with Middle and Back offices. This technological framework supports both trading and banking functions of the organization, alongside management processes that optimize resource allocation, funding costs, and capital efficiency initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Develop risk management analytics and tools tailored for the Lending sector.
  • Create infrastructure to enhance the relationship between Lending operations and Treasury, focusing on the automation and improvement of risk and funding processes.
  • Formulate valuation techniques suitable for hold-for-maturity accrual businesses.
  • Collaborate on the build-out and piloting of a strategic analytics platform in conjunction with Global Technology.
  • Engage in a general desk strategy role, liaising with originating businesses to ensure the efficient operation of desk systems.
How You'll Lead
  • Work collaboratively with the global Strats team across various regions.
  • Engage with stakeholders in Sales & Trading, Structuring, Research, Market Risk Management, and Finance.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
Skills You'll Need
  • Strong quantitative analysis, modeling, pricing, and risk management capabilities.
  • Proficient computing and programming skills, particularly in C++.
  • Aptitude and eagerness to work with and expand a large codebase addressing complex business challenges.
  • Familiarity with Loans products, businesses, and markets; experience in funding, capital management, or banking is advantageous.
Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Understanding of funding or banking businesses and markets.
  • Experience in capital efficiency management.
