Position Title: Administrative Security Assistant (PERSEC) Hybrid

Reports To: Program Manager

Clearance Type: Top Secret clearance

Work Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid expected, 3 days onsite/week)

Job Overview:

Advantage SCI is currently seeking qualified candidates to assist in the management of a federal agency's personnel security program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key point of contact between Human Resources and Security Divisions, clarifying the onboarding process and providing guidance to applicants.
  • Address inquiries from both internal and external customers regarding the status of investigations and related actions.
  • Initiate necessary documentation for background checks for applicants and employees, ensuring compliance with position requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of security applications and deliver timely updates.
  • Conduct thorough quality reviews of completed security applications, presenting findings to federal personnel to reduce submission errors.
  • Assist in the processing of fingerprint cards and verify the classification of fingerprint results.
  • Support security division staff in managing credit reports, court records, and other investigative documents as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities within the case management system.
  • Facilitate the enrollment and disenrollment of personnel in FBI RAPBACK and Continuous Evaluation/Vetting systems.
  • Manage incoming mail and respond to email inquiries promptly.
  • Assist in the out-processing of employees to ensure accurate personnel inventory.

Required Qualifications:

  • Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; or 2 years of relevant federal experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Federal HR or Personnel Security.
  • Proven administrative skills, particularly in file organization and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with high-level stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the FBI's RAPBACK data system.
  • Experience in Human Resources.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
