Work Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid expected, 3 days onsite/week)
Job Overview:
Advantage SCI is currently seeking qualified candidates to support a federal agency's personnel security program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Security Divisions, clarifying the onboarding process and providing assistance to HR staffing specialists regarding vetting inquiries.
- Address internal and external customer inquiries, facilitating access to the status of investigations or related actions.
- Initiate background investigation forms for applicants and employees based on their position requirements.
- Monitor the progress of security applications and provide timely updates.
- Conduct quality reviews of completed security applications and present findings to Federal employees to reduce unacceptable submissions to the investigative service provider.
- Assist in the scanning and submission of fingerprint cards, ensuring the results are classifiable.
- Support security division personnel in routing copies of credit reports, court records, Selective Service checks, and other investigative elements as necessary.
- Track all activities within the case management system.
- Facilitate the enrollment and disenrollment of personnel in FBI RAPBACK and Continuous Evaluation/Vetting systems as appropriate.
- Manage incoming mail processing.
- Respond to email inquiries promptly.
- Assist in the out-processing of employees to maintain an accurate inventory of personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Top Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. A bachelor's degree may be substituted with 2 years of Federal experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Federal HR or Federal Personnel Security.
- Proven administrative skills, particularly in file organization and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Strong communication skills, particularly with high-level visitors.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with the FBI's RAPBACK data system.
- Background in Human Resources.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and run as needed.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
