Job Overview:
Advantage SCI is seeking qualified candidates to assist in the administration of a federal agency's personnel security program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Security Divisions, clarifying the onboarding process and providing assistance to HR staffing specialists with vetting inquiries.
- Address internal and external customer inquiries to facilitate the status updates of investigations or related actions.
- Initiate background investigation forms for applicants and employees, ensuring compliance with position-related duties.
- Monitor the progress of security applications and provide timely updates.
- Conduct quality reviews and present findings to Federal employees to reduce the number of unacceptable submissions to the investigative service provider.
- Assist in the scanning and submission of fingerprint cards, ensuring that results are classifiable.
- Support security division personnel in routing copies of credit reports, court records, Selective Service checks, and other investigative documents as required.
- Track all activities within the case management system.
- Assist with the enrollment and disenrollment of personnel in FBI RAPBACK and Continuous Evaluation/Vetting systems as necessary.
- Log and process incoming correspondence.
- Respond to email inquiries promptly.
- Facilitate the out-processing of employees to maintain accurate personnel inventories.
Required Qualifications:
- Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; a bachelor's degree may be substituted with 2 years of relevant Federal experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Federal HR or Federal Personnel Security.
- Proven administrative skills, particularly in file organization and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Strong communication skills, particularly with high-level visitors.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the FBI's RAPBACK data system.
- Experience in Human Resources.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and run as needed.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
