Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive sales performance for a designated portfolio of high-value accounts, focusing on substantial revenue generation.
  • Identify and map account opportunities, concentrating on core and specialized product categories.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, formulating strategic growth initiatives and pinpointing new business prospects.
  • Prioritize account management efforts to enhance understanding of client dynamics and deploy resources effectively.
  • Regularly utilize sales enablement tools to maintain accurate customer data, oversee a robust sales pipeline, and advance opportunities.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of products, customer profiles, and industry sectors.
  • Employ Salesforce consistently for tracking and managing sales activities.
  • Implement diverse sales strategies through various channels including phone, digital communication, and in-person engagements.
  • Apply effective sales methodologies to nurture and expand the customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to engage with senior-level executives.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in consultative, solutions-oriented, and insight-driven selling.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial metrics, and technology trends.
  • Ability to analyze customer data and market trends to craft tailored solutions aligned with Staples' value proposition.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, particularly in Account Management or Business Development.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing large, complex accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience in managing intricate sales processes from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with business-to-business sales environments.
  • Proven track record in account retention and growth.
