Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties within the import operations sector, focusing on client service and revenue maintenance.
  • Handle data entry tasks, including filing, classification, photocopying, and scanning of documents.
  • Manage import air recoveries, check processing, and the creation of delivery orders.
  • Conduct audits of commercial documents, applying the appropriate harmonized tariff schedule codes to guarantee accurate duty assessments.
  • Review and verify documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding country of origin, importer of record, terms of sale, and valuation.
  • Address documentation discrepancies through effective communication with clients and international partners.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Work Schedule

This position may require weekend shifts on a rotational basis and may involve holiday work as necessary to meet operational demands.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $31.10, subject to variation based on geographic location and individual qualifications.

Preferred Skills
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Entry Writing; 1 to 2 years in Customs House Brokerage or Imports.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient and rapid data entry skills with multitasking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Professional demeanor in client interactions, representing AIT positively.
