As a Logistics Procurement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in facilitating customer shipments by negotiating competitive rates and securing capacity with trusted carriers and partners. As part of our West Coast Gateway team, your duties will encompass managing transport operations, executing bookings through our carrier network, and utilizing our advanced booking platform. Your role will also involve meticulous data entry, generating essential documentation, and collaborating with customer care teams to ensure adherence to air transport regulations and industry standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of airfreight operations and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and partners
  • 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding
  • Familiarity with airfreight regulations and industry practices
  • Ability to support both clients and internal teams to achieve service excellence
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Proactive approach with a focus on accountability for results
Core Responsibilities:
  • Execute tasks in alignment with Gateway procurement standards and performance metrics
  • Prepare and manage documentation for air export consolidations
  • Enhance visibility and accuracy through the AirLOG Airfreight 2.0 methodology
  • Optimize carrier utilization and cargo consolidation processes
  • Ensure timely processing and delivery coordination with warehouse and dispatch teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in departmental efficiency and workflows
  • Negotiate carrier rates while ensuring compliance with established tariffs
  • Knowledge of ULD/build-up processes and in-bonds is a plus
