The EHS Compliance Coordinator is responsible for executing strategies that promote a secure and healthy workplace, collaborating closely with the Management Team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulate health and safety protocols applicable across all departments.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions on emergency protocols, workplace safety, first aid, and other essential topics for all staff members.
  • Oversee adherence to safety regulations and maintain necessary reporting standards.
  • Facilitate the establishment of a Safety Committee and conduct regular Safety Meetings.
  • Conduct facility inspections to identify potential safety, health, and environmental hazards.
  • Develop and enforce inspection policies and schedules, ensuring routine evaluations are performed.
  • Prepare inspection reports to document findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are current and easily accessible.
  • Maintain records of employee exposure to hazardous materials as mandated.
  • Supervise annual evacuation drills and coordinate necessary building inspections.
  • Stay informed on current health and safety legislation.
  • Manage compliance with Cal/OSHA and OSHA standards.
  • Address additional safety-related issues as they arise.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Familiarity with safety training mandates and environmental regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment utilized in environmental assessments.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office or similar software.
