Job Title: Lead Financial Strategist

Alation is on the lookout for a driven Lead Financial Strategist to enhance our team. This role will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for our Go-to-Market Teams, collaborating closely with leaders in Marketing, Business Development, and Sales to propel financial and operational planning initiatives. As an essential member of the team, the strategist will utilize financial knowledge, business insights, and operational metrics to support the growth and success of Alation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to boost revenue growth through capacity modeling, pipeline assessments, and market demand evaluations.
  • Develop financial models to facilitate strategic endeavors such as partnerships, pricing strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Examine critical operational and financial performance metrics, refining marketing strategies and conducting return on investment analyses.
  • Prepare comprehensive presentations, models, and ad hoc analyses for the Executive Team.
  • Refine FP&A activities, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Adopt best practices in FP&A to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a SaaS environment, ideally in go-to-market roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial insight and analytical capabilities.
  • Highly intelligent, inquisitive, and meticulous.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-suite.
  • Familiarity with financial software applications such as NetSuite and Adaptive is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
