Position Overview:
We are seeking a collaborative and impactful Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for our Go-to-Market Teams, integrating deeply into the financial and operational planning processes across Marketing, Business Development, and our global Sales Team. The analyst will gain insights from Go-To-Market leaders and apply their financial expertise in conjunction with business context and operational data to facilitate Alation's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to identify key revenue growth drivers, including capacity modeling, pipeline analysis, and market demand assessment.
- Create financial models from the ground up to support strategic initiatives, encompassing partnerships, pricing strategies, and innovative go-to-market approaches.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate trends in key operational and financial performance metrics, optimizing the marketing funnel and conducting ROI/payback analyses.
- Prepare and present various reports, models, and ad hoc analyses to the Executive Team.
- Enhance FP&A processes related to monthly reporting, actualization of company models, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Implement FP&A best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy in reporting through process enhancements and system integrations.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a SaaS environment, ideally focused on go-to-market strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- A high level of intelligence, curiosity, and a strong work ethic.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling with a keen attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and G-suite applications.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, including financial software applications (experience with NetSuite and Adaptive is advantageous).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
