Position Overview:
We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for our Go-to-Market Teams, playing a crucial role in financial and operational planning across various departments, including Marketing, Business Development, and our global Sales Team. The successful candidate will integrate financial expertise with business insights and operational data to support Alation's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key revenue growth drivers, including capacity modeling, pipeline analysis, and market demand assessment.
- Create comprehensive financial models to support strategic initiatives, such as partnerships, pricing strategies, and innovative go-to-market approaches.
- Continuously monitor and analyze trends in operational and financial performance indicators, focusing on optimizing marketing funnels and conducting ROI/payback analyses.
- Prepare and present various financial models, presentations, and ad hoc analyses for the Executive Team.
- Enhance FP&A processes related to monthly reporting, actualization of company models, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Implement FP&A best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting through process enhancements and system upgrades.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a SaaS environment, with a focus on go-to-market strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- A high level of intelligence, curiosity, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in financial modeling and detail-oriented analysis.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and G-suite applications.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new systems, including financial software (experience with NetSuite and Adaptive is advantageous).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
The base salary range is specific to the United States and will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, experience, education, work location, and specialty training.
