Job Overview

The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to join our team. This role will provide administrative support to the Division of Investigations, focusing on tasks such as responding to hotline calls, maintaining records, and interacting with citizens and officials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Division of Investigations, including responding to fraud, waste, and abuse hotline calls and compiling records of calls.
  • Maintain the Allegations, Notifications and Tracking System (ANTS) and ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Interact with citizens and officials in a professional and diplomatic manner, providing requested information and assistance.
  • Receive and distribute divisional emails, mail, and/or facsimiles, and monitor and analyze supplies usage and place supply orders.
  • Archive records in accordance with applicable records management policies and attend Comptroller meetings and functions on behalf of the division.
  • Author internal and external divisional webpages as assigned, including releasing investigative reports on the Comptroller webpage.
  • Provide assistance to staff of local, state, and federal agencies, contract auditors, vendors, citizens, etc., to accomplish the mission of the division.
  • Identify and seize process improvement opportunities to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Maintain and continually improve individual contribution to a service-oriented culture that supports members of the public and leadership.
  • Communicate clearly and frequently with divisional leadership, team members, and members of the public.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree or an associate's degree with at least 2 years of administrative experience in a governmental agency.
  • Experience in administration, criminal justice, or other business environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to or an understanding of government or publicly funded entities' operations is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
