Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Employment Type: Full Time | Day Shift | 8am-5pm | Monday-Friday

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders by leveraging organizational skills, administrative expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of Human Resources programs, policies, and practices. This position is instrumental in maintaining employee programs and database systems for the organization, while providing support to the HR Manager, VP of HR, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage electronic employee records through continuous updates in the HRIS, ensuring accurate and timely entry for new hires and employment changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive employee HR files, including personnel and medical records, while ensuring compliance with filing protocols.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and address maintenance issues, ensuring timely processing of deductions and changes.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and requests for information, including employment verifications.
  • Administer the COBRA process, including the distribution of initial notifications and election notices.
  • Support the recruitment process by tracking applications, posting job advertisements, and reviewing candidate resumes.
  • Facilitate the performance evaluation process, ensuring timely distribution and collection of evaluations.
  • Contribute to the New Hire Orientation process by preparing and presenting necessary information and ensuring completion of onboarding paperwork.
  • Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, including awards and appreciation events.
  • Contribute to internal communications, such as newsletters and other informational materials.
  • Engage in HR-related projects as needed, providing support and leadership.
  • Manage employee access for keys and fobs as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role, with prior HR experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, theories, and policies, along with general business operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, as well as familiarity with HRIS databases (Paycom preferred).
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
