HR Operations Specialist

Spartan Logistics, a leading third-party logistics provider, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our corporate HR functions. This role is essential in ensuring compliance and the efficient execution of HR processes and payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and necessary documentation.
- Manage employee data throughout the employment lifecycle, ensuring accurate records in payroll and benefits systems.
- Review and authorize HR actions, maintaining thorough documentation in the HRIS.
- Conduct employment verifications and maintain employee files.
- Respond to HR-related correspondence and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist with unemployment claims and support the HR Manager in departmental communications.
- Participate in HR meetings, taking detailed notes for future reference.
- Serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits of HR systems and compliance to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Support departmental projects and initiatives as needed.
- Process payroll weekly, collaborating with management to gather necessary approvals and documentation.
- Maintain reports related to overtime and payroll metrics.
- At least one year of experience in payroll or human resources is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with occasional movement around the office. Candidates should be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
