Job Overview

The HR Business Partner Manager will act as a key strategic ally for essential operational sectors within Outform, Inc., facilitating and implementing human resource solutions. This role will directly oversee a team of HR Business Partners and play a crucial role in establishing a strategic HR Business Partner function that can shape organizational culture, enhance leadership effectiveness, and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop collaborative relationships with leaders across designated functional areas, offering strategic counsel and practical support regarding personnel matters.
  • Lead a team of HR Business Partners, exemplifying strategic HRBP behaviors and providing assistance with intricate personnel issues.
  • Guide managers in performance management, employee development, succession planning, retention strategies, engagement initiatives, and career progression.
  • Engage proactively with client groups to foresee challenges and propose effective solutions to support business growth.
  • Facilitate the performance management process, including goal establishment, performance assessments, and development planning.
  • Advocate for team members by promoting the use of feedback mechanisms with management and the executive team.
  • Coach managers on delivering constructive feedback and nurturing a high-performance culture.
  • Encourage managerial practices that enhance the retention of high-potential and key talent.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers on recruitment strategies and compensation practices.
  • Conduct investigations and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Assist the broader HR team in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, foster a robust organizational culture, and contribute to improvements in core HR processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner; experience in private equity or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in managing HRBPs or HR team members is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and regulations across multiple states.
  • Proven success in formulating and executing HR strategies and initiatives that deliver measurable business results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset, skilled in utilizing HR data and metrics to derive insights and support decision-making.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a solution-oriented approach, demonstrating both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • Possession of professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, CIPD) is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as UKG is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% is required.
