Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the liaison between Engineering and Operations, providing technical support and engineering data to ensure the continuity of production flow. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and engineering data to Operations to ensure timely solutions to manufacturing process issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring total system efficiencies.
  • Design and install equipment, utilizing CAD software and blueprints to ensure accurate production setups.
  • Lead in developing detailed layouts for equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during production runs, utilizing PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Conduct production planning and material cost calculations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Review and recommend continuous improvements to manufacturing processes and efficiencies, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
  • Document and communicate work procedures and standardized methods, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, instructed, or directed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Six to ten years of relevant work experience in CNC machining and/or cold heading/manufacturing.
  • Experience setting up CNC equipment and writing programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality instruments and how to use them.
  • Experience with business side of operation (quoting, customer relations, production planning, etc.).
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
  • Proven negotiation and contracting skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational and analytical skills.
