The Engine Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and constructing sub-assemblies and engines designed, manufactured, or serviced by Roush. This role entails the meticulous assembly of engines while maintaining detailed records of component data.

Key Responsibilities of the Engine Assembly Technician include:

  • Assembling and constructing various types of engines, adhering to industry-standard assembly practices.
  • Measuring components with precision.
  • Setting and verifying part clearances.
  • Utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Employing necessary hand tools effectively.
  • Maintaining engine build records with comprehensive component history data.
Qualifications for the Engine Assembly Technician position:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in engine assembly or mechanical work.
  • Proficiency in operating standard shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.).
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues in engines.
  • Basic computer skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Flexibility and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or further education in an automotive-related field.
  • Experience with powertrain calibration diagnostics and controls.
  • Ability to execute engine teardown/build tasks and follow specific charts.
  • Capability to perform basic fabrications.
