Position Overview: Federal Compliance Technical Program Manager

Location: Remote opportunities available.

Mission: We seek a proactive technical program manager to lead critical product compliance and security initiatives within the Public Sector. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive under tight deadlines and budget constraints while engaging in both technical and compliance dialogues. A hands-on, proactive approach is crucial for success in this dynamic environment. You will leverage your creative problem-solving skills, exceptional program management expertise, and strong communication abilities to make a significant impact at Groq.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the program roadmap, including milestones and dependencies to secure FedRAMP High authorization.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams (engineering, security, compliance, product management) to implement necessary security controls and processes.
  • Oversee the System Security Plan and associated documentation for the certification process.
  • Act as a liaison with the FedRAMP Program Management Office and 3PAO assessors throughout the certification lifecycle.
  • Manage the resolution of findings from security assessments and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Regularly communicate program status, risks, and challenges to executive leadership.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of certification documentation within budget constraints.
  • Engage with government agencies, partners, and clients on technical and security-related matters.
  • Provide technical guidance in interpreting and applying FedRAMP security controls.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional technology programs, ideally in a SaaS or cloud context.
  • Strong familiarity with the FedRAMP certification process and NIST security controls.
  • Technical acumen to effectively collaborate with engineering teams on system design and security architecture.
  • Proficient in program/project management methodologies, particularly Agile.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-stakes security and compliance initiatives.
  • Experience leading successful FedRAMP authorization efforts for cloud services.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., FedRAMP, StateRAMP, SOC 2, ISO, NIST, COBIT, HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST, PCI).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • PMI PMP or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
