About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization, focusing on significant cross-functional initiatives that influence all engineering operations at Envoy.
This role involves close collaboration with product management, engineering leadership, and stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure successful program execution.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will define and enhance the planning processes across the organization, improving efficiency by providing clear operational metrics to leadership.
You will work alongside the CTO and CPO to identify key objectives and projects for each quarter, partnering with engineering teams for effective execution and timely delivery.
Previous TPMs in this position have successfully defined Envoy's incident management process in collaboration with the Customer Support team, managed EPD's release processes, and developed an engineering onboarding program with a structured curriculum. They have also led the migration of our cloud infrastructure for over 100 services across more than 10 engineering teams.
This role embodies Envoy's core values of open communication, proactive action, and creating exceptional experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and refine processes to ensure successful execution of various Product Development initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Lead cross-functional programs, defining scope, key milestones, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Develop effective communication strategies for your programs, clearly articulating goals and progress to stakeholders and executives.
- Anticipate challenges and devise risk mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Foster strong partnerships with business, product, design, and engineering leaders to facilitate the delivery of high-impact work.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of challenges and dependencies when collaborating with engineering teams.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a technology-focused career, with at least 2-3 years in a program management capacity overseeing organization-wide projects.
- A proven track record of collaborating with engineers to resolve complex cross-team challenges.
- Experience managing intricate cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptive problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to navigate ambiguity.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with customizing and administering JIRA.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- A history of delivering projects on schedule.
What We Offer
At Envoy, you will enjoy:
- A high level of trust in your ideas and execution.
- The opportunity to collaborate with other talented professionals.
- An inclusive community where you feel valued and supported.
- The chance to make an immediate impact in enhancing customer workplace experiences.
- Support for your personal and professional development.

If this role aligns with your interests and expertise, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further. We value diversity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
